Dhrupad Music Society
It was established in 2015 by students passionate about preserving and developing this musical tradition, particularly through annual workshops led by the renowned Pandit Uday Bhawalkar. Dhrupad is one of the oldest forms of Indian classical music, tracing back to ancient texts. Supporting the Dhrupad Music Society is important because it preserves a unique and culturally significant art form, offers valuable educational opportunities, and fosters a sense of community around Dhrupad. The society ensures this rich tradition continues to be practised and appreciated.
